On May 31st Green Domain spent time with students and parents of the Free Union Homeschoolers Charter School to teach them the ins and outs of going Green!
The Children have been studying the Journey of Energy in their curriculum along with activities from the Kilowatt Ours Project to aid in learning of energy conservation.
Organized by Lorna Wooldridge from the Free Union Homeschoolers, Green Domain®’s LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Green Building Analyst, John Romansky met with the students at a residence in Great Meadows, New Jersey. Romansky demonstrated and discussed the popular topic of sustainability with the children by performing Green Domain®’s GreenAlysis® Home Energy Audit process for a hands-on interactive learning experience. He also taught the children obtainable green initiative practices to tackle within the home for a real world application of conserving energy (such as unplugging unused electrical devices to save power and money).
“They are all well on their way to a sustainable lifestyle and with all of the contagious enthusiasm, will impart the message to others.” said Romansky after completing the auditing process with the children.
Green Domain® was happy to be apart of the children’s educational curriculum and bring green industry knowledge and practices to the Free Union Homeschoolers charter.
